Oh, no you go ahead, no you.

Hi everyone, today is Christmas Eve.  On the way into my apartment building this afternoon, I tried to hold the door for this kid but he was trying to hold another door for me.  It was kind of like O. Henry's Gift of the Magi Story and hopefully the security cameras got it on video so it can be on the Hallmark Channel every Christmas from now on.

Partridges and Cartridges

Hi everyone. I hope y'all are having a great Christmas. I am but it is only December 17 so there is still time for me to fall down some stairs. I feel really happy about the presents I am giving this year, although the classic Nintendo game set with 30 games was not really rolled out in time for me to buy it this year for me or others.  But I am okay and I have gotten lots of presents and have found that packing them in boxes is kind of like winning Tetris.

Can't Get Too Thankful

Hi everyone. Today is Thanksgiving.  I am having a little trouble today because I am taking new psychiatric medicine that makes me feel guilty.  I think it is kind of funny for the emotion to be so specific like that. It is like a plot for a story I might have written, where someone takes medicine that makes them feel guilty and they have to figure out what is right intellectually without their intuition and conscience working correctly.  Well that is interesting isn't it, but I am okay. I am cooking some rice right now. I decided not to get a rotisserie chicken because I just didn't want chicken today so I think that is kind of like pardoning a turkey like Obama does on Thanksgiving.  But I am not trying to make everyone else feel guilty for eating turkey or chicken.  If I wanted to do that I would bring over an Abilify casserole.

Fried Bananas

Hi everyone, today is a Sunday in November. I wanted to share a little recipe because I just successfully made this food and it was so yummy.  The recipe is called Fried Bananas.  You heat up butter and sugar and cut a banana into fourths, you know, like cutting it length ways and in half, etc.  Then you put those slices in the browning butter and sugar and it caramelizes.  I think it is best if it is pretty hot.  And then you put the cooked bananas over ice cream and then you eat it and feel a little bit proud, possibly to the point of arrogance and with some snootiness that becomes permanent. It's kind of nice after some taco salad or bean dip and limeade.

Missing blog

Guys I was updating blogs today and noticed that one of my blogs seems to have disappeared.  It was the art blog.  Has anyone seen it?  Maybe it ran away and it will be discovered accidentally when someone googles a recipe or something, like a refried bean recipe. But for some reason it is not on my link list anymore. I don't think it had any information that needed to be censored, or to be the opposite of censored, which would mean being hacked and distributed by Wikileaks.

A post from the election

Well everyone today is Wednesday and yesterday was the election.  I normally vote libertarian but this time I voted with the PTSD party and voted against all the old white men.  I voted mostly for Latino and women candidates, and hopefully one African American, though it is not always possible to tell who is who on the ballot.  I am used to already knowing that my vote was not going to be for the winning candidate, so this election was different, and it did traumatize me a little bit.  But I am okay and I do still have hope even about insurance problems and immigration, and I am proud of the way evangelicals stood up to the media who thought they could put Trump in everyone's face for a year and use him to call us racist.  Now they have chosen the president, and we will see whether he is Hitler or not.  I do not think most of those people who turned the map red are as bad as people wanted to shame them into seeming, and I think their goodness will somehow prevail, especially if it can still be combined with the goodness of everyone who did not want a candidate endorsed by the KKK.

Happy Halloween!

Hi everyone I am very excited because Halloween is in just a few days and I have a lot of candy to pass out in my neighborhood, which usually has hundreds and hundreds of kids trick or treating. I think only one bag of the candy I bought is probably from last year, and it is all stuff I am willing to eat too.  For my costume I am going to be a person passing out Halloween candy, which is definitely a costume because on most days during the year I don't pass out Halloween candy.

A mouse named "Nicey."

Hi everyone, did y'all know that there is a mouse living in my apartment right now?  There could be more than one but so far I am just guessing that it is one friendly little mouse that has no intention of scampering over me when I sleep. I have seen the mouse four times and it is so cute. I put out some water for it and I am going to try to catch it in humane traps. What should I name the mouse?  Let's have a contest real quick to decide.  Okay who thinks I should name the mouse "Herbert?"  Okay... three people.  Okay who thinks I should name the mouse "Nicey?"  Okay...one..two... okay... Fifteen people have voted for me to name the mouse "Nicey."  Ok thanks everyone.  "What if there are a lot more mice in your apartment?" you ask.  Well that could be quite a challenge to name a lot of mice and that is a lot of little hats and scarves to knit for Christmas isn't it?

This post is about ice cream and isn't about the bombing from a few weeks ago.

Hi everyone, something reminded me of a happy memory that I wanted to write about on this blog.  It is a memory of how one time at McDonalds I went through the drive through and ordered either a hot fudge or caramel sundae (I think it was hot fudge) and the person put the fudge sauce on the bottom and the top of the sundae.  Usually you only get the sauce on top.  I do not know how much they were or were not allowed to do that but it was a great surprise and I will always remember it until I have severe memory loss that makes me wander into a McDonalds and ask for a sundae with all hot fudge and a little bit of ice cream on the bottom and the top.

One More Thing

I just want to say one more thing about the bomb situation which is that those terrorists aren't going to scare me into leaving my apartment and getting stuff done or going about my daily business.

Also I had a little joke which is what if after there was a bombing in a trashcan you went around diving onto any piece of trash you saw on the sidewalk and were like "everybody get back!" and threw yourself onto a coke can or a plastic chip bag or something and kept doing it all along your walk down the street.
